    Scholarship Amount

    The Central Illinois Human Resources Group will be providing 2 (two) $500 scholarships for the 2020-2021 school year to 2 (two) recipients.

    How To Apply

    Completed application with all attachments must be turned into the Scholarship Chair by May 31, 2020. Any questions please contact the Scholarship Chair at cihrg1@gmail.com.

    CiHRG Scholarship Eligibility

    1. Be a graduating senior in the year the scholarship is being offered.
    2. Show potential for a successful use of the scholarship funds.
    3. The applicant must successfully complete the “Operation Hope” program and provide proof of graduation from that program.Or the applicant must have a parent or grandparent that is a member in good standing of the Central Illinois Human Resources Group.
    4. Present a completed application with two (2) letters of recommendation:
    • One (1) letter must be from a high school faculty member who is familiar with the applicant’s academic performance. Or the Coordinator of the Operation Hope Program
    • One (1) letter must be from a non-school related person or community member outside the school setting who is familiar with the applicant.
    1. Meet the following criteria:
    • Graduation from the “Operation Hope” program or child*/grandchild of a member of the Central Illinois Human Resources Group.
    • Characteristic traits such as responsibility, reliability and integrity
    • Academic and vocational potential
    1. Scholarship recipients must be (one of the following):
      • Registered in an approved 4-year college, Junior college or Vocational Institution of higher learning
      • Preference will be given to applicants that will be seeking a degree in the field of Human Resources

    *Child is defined as a son or daughter that is a biological, adopted, or foster child, a stepchild, a legal ward, or a child of a person standing in loco parentis.

    Decision on Awards and Distribution of Monies

    The Central Illinois Human Resources group will announce the scholarship awards on or before July 1st, 2020 and a check to the recipient will be distributed on August 1, 2020.Registration proof will be required by the recipient prior to the release of monies.
