    Title: Recruiting Strategies: Community Data and You’re Welcome CU

    Speaker: Carly McCrory is the Assistant Director for the Champaign County Economic Development Corporation in Champaign, IL. Her role includes marketing Champaign County, attracting and retaining companies, building community, and working to promote economic development in East Central Illinois with regional partners.

    Seminar Description Summary: This workshop will focus on recruiting and retaining talent in your organization by using resources available through your local economic development agency, including strategies on how best to use community data and promote quality of life.

    This workshop will also highlight You’re Welcome CU, a community effort to brand Champaign-Urbana as a hub for innovation, attract top talent and companies, drive economic development and brag about our micro-urban community.

    The campaign has been featured in Forbes, The Huffington Post, and ChicagoInno, among other media outlets. You can find the campaign displayed locally at Illinois Terminal in downtown Champaign (on the elevators & 2nd floor Amtrak waiting area) and on Illinois American Water’s one-million-gallon elevated water storage tank located at 2814 Hundman Drive in Champaign
